New Track Just For You

I wanted to exclusively share an album track with you!
It’s a new version of one of my favorite tracks, “Gonna Get It". You may have heard this song if you’re familiar with my “Voodoo” album…
I couldn’t help but get it re-produced by David Kahne.
It’s the only throwback track on the upcoming record, but one of my favorites none-the-less.

Dearest (patient) Pledgers,
Firstly, I must thank you for your grace!
I’m aware how calm this campaign has been as of late…but all for good reason!
Thank you for being so patient.
I just came off of my supporting slot on the recent SAYMAX (Max Schneider) US/CA tour. The opportunity was presented and it didn’t take much to see the positives in getting back on the road and performing some of the new album material live as the record gets mastered. It was cool stripping down these new tracks to just me and my electric guitar. It was raw and intimate playing acoustic each night. I heard my songs and my lyrics differently every time. I can only hope it was the same for the listeners.
Cool news -- I unexpectedly ended up writing some new tracks with my brother Brendan while visiting in May, one of them being “Let ‘Em Eat Cake,” which I performed live on this last tour. Although the album was close to finished, it didn’t feel quite complete to me yet. Once I listened back to the demos, it became apparent that these songs were the missing link needed to complete the album. We’re now on to mixing and mastering and the record will be completed very soon – we’re almost there!! :-)

The tour was rad.
I loved getting the chance to hang out and connect with the VIPs each night. Breezy Baldwin and Megan Cox were on board to help truly make it a memorable tour. Max is a sweetheart, and his team was a pleasure to tour with.
It’s going to be a busy, but exciting fall. I have plans for more touring around this upcoming album release.
I can’t WAIT to deliver this album to you.
In the meantime, be the first to watch Let ’Em Eat Cake live in Toronto from the recent tour.

Album niedługo?

This new album. Overdue, but so worth it (to me, and hopefully you!). So stoked. Can't wait. Won't wait. It's late, but I think it's great!!

 Może to znaczyć wszystko. Skompletowanie listy piosenek (wiemy, że Alexz rozważała dodanie piosenki), odpowiedź na negatywne komentarze, sfinalizowanie umowy dystrybucyjnej lub nawet jej brak. Czas pokaże ;)

Konto Alexz na youtube

Wygląda na to, że Alexz i Jess wszystko sobie wyjaśniły [odnośnie youtube'a], bo filmiki wróciły na yt Alexz, Heart z nową okładką. Jednak AlexzOnTour nadal wymaga hasła. A kampania na PM wciąż jest strefą wolną od Jess.

Okładki

Alexz znowu wrzuciła Heart EP na iTunes. Fajnie, że zadziałała jakoś aktywnie, ale mimo wszystko nie mogę pozbyć się wrażenia, że poszła na łatwiznę. Nie wiem czy walczy aktywnie o odzyskanie praw do wszystkiego (lub czy robi to jej prawnik), ale wygląda to tak, że postanowiła wszystko zostawić za sobą. Oczywiście dopóki nie wyda płyty nie ma szans na dostanie pozostałych pieniędzy z Pledge (na razie dostała 75% z tego co planowała zebrać), a więc nie ma raczej środków na zapłacenie Jess. Uważam jednak, że gdyby podpisały umowę w której Alexz zobowiązuje się uregulować wszystko w ciągu 3-6 miesięcy to Jess mogłaby się zgodzić.
Podczas przygotowywania artykułu jeden z dziennikarzy spytał Megan albo Breezy o co chodzi ze zniknięciem Heart EP z iTunes, i został poinformowany, że jest to "management/label issue". Fajnie byłoby wiedzieć o co chodzi naprawdę, ale Alexz jest znana z unikania rozmów na tematy, w których nie wychodzi na to że to ona jest ofiarą ;)
